Ashes Of Creation

Today, only a handful of open-world MMORPGs are available as free-to-play. Most fanatics of this game genre are looking for a new title that can sate their longing.

Not everyone can afford to play VIP games like Elder Scrolls Online, World of Warcraft, and Eve Online. This is why RPG fans demand for an online open-world game that has the potential to last long and entice gamers of all ages.

Ashes of Creation can accomplish these expectations. Why is this so? Can a game that doesn’t even have foundations surpass reigning titles? Yes, it can if it’s free-to-play and backed by tens of thousands of gaming enthusiasts.

Ashes of Creation is a high-fantasy MMORPG backed by approximately 20,000 individuals. On Kickstarter, it has raised over 3 million US dollars.

This budget is enough to create and launch an online game featuring a breath-taking open world. It was also revealed that Ashes of Creation will not be a pay-to-win (P2W) game, unlike ESO and Eve-online.

This implies that your victory depends on your skill, not the amount of money you’ve spent on your character. If you want to know more about the Ashes of Creation release date, news, trailer, and rumors, just read through.

Latest News from Intrepid Studios

The beta version was released in December 2018. Intrepid Games, the developer of the game, has not announced a release date yet.

They also said that it may be released by 2020. But this schedule is subject to change.

So far, Beta-2 has been available for testers. They’re helping Intrepid Studios to improve the game. Steven Sharif, CEO and Creative Director of Intrepid Studios, said “our goal is to make everything right. Hence, we don’t rush things.” He has also been quoted as saying that the game is already undergoing beta phase. They have taken their comments to heart and implemented major changes to the game’s mechanics.

With beta-2, they are looking to test and improve the game’s battle modes and options. Approximately 20,000 players are testing beta-2.Steven Shariff also said that they are focusing on major changes in order to accomplish the goals they’ve set before Alpha-1.

When everything is ready, they will announce a release date. Shariff wants to give a date, but he doesn’t want to throw one and take back his words.

AOC News

At Gamescom 2018, Ashes of Creations garnered 3 awards: Best Independent Game, Best Online Game, and the most anticipated game. As it stands, Ashes of Creations is clearly in good hands. With Intrepid Studios’ careful planning, players can be assured that it will not fail their expectations.

The World of Ashes of Creations

Have you ever seen the movie "Avatar?" the world of this game is similar to Pandora. Pandora is the setting of the Avatar movie and the home of the Na’vis. As ambitious as the 2009 American epic film, Ashes of Creation features a world that is teeming with diverse plant and animal life.

It has creatures, habitats, and fauna that are not available in other games. The developers never mentioned any concept they might have based the game on. Hence, they have written and designed everything from scratch.

The trailer that was released in January 2018 gave people a glimpse of what the game might feel and look like. Coupled with a crisp soundtrack, it revealed an awe-inspiring, magical world you may have never seen before.

The first monsters to be revealed were four-legged cat-like creatures. Their bodies are highly adapted to their environment. They carried icicle-like spikes that gleam like diamonds.

Their movements are fluid. Each step they take engraves realistic footprints on the sandy forest floor. In the video, glowing insects hover around the magical creatures that are living in the forest of gigantic mushrooms. Luminescent stalactites are everywhere. They light the main roads and pathways. In that forest, all leaves glow with vibrant lights. All of these are just a small part of what the game has to offer. If you watch other trailers, you’ll see that there are also medieval towns, flourishing farmlands, rocky mountains, and lush rainforest.

Truly, the virtual world of Ashes of Creations is incomparable to other games. It also features semi-realistic graphics, dynamic weather systems, and graceful monsters.

Story and Gameplay

The beta testers have already tasted the lore and combat system of the game. However, due to Non-Disclosure Agreements, not much can be revealed to this day.The studio did produce numerous trailers, and they’ve allowed some individuals to review the beta version of the game.

According to beta players, Ashes of Creation offers great flexibility and numerous quests. There are no loading screens and movement between maps is fluid. For example, if you want to exit a town, you don’t need to pass through a way gate and wait for the loading time to finish.

If you played games like Flyff back in the early 2000s, you know the advantages and disadvantages of open-world online games. With an open-world setting, you can roam freely. You don’t need to wait for annoying loading screens or suffer from game crashes. However, if you’re not careful, you may end up in a place that you might not be ready for and die from blows from high-level creatures. This was also one of the challenging gameplay features of Flyff.

In addition, it’s still unclear if Player Kill is enabled. This feature can be both thrilling and infuriating. If PK is enabled, then this can become an issue for other players especially those who just want a laidback adventure.

Similar to Flyff, you can also fly in this game. The best part is that you don’t need to pay for any amount to enjoy this feature. Keep in mind that Ashes of Creation isn’t a P2W game? So, you just need to level up your character and finish some quests in order to glide over the world of Verra.

Verra is a magical simulated reality that you can only find in Ashes of Creations. It features various regions, and rumor has it that it’s likely there’s no hard “end” to the game’s map. Intrepid Studios said, “We will continuously provide updates in order to expand the realm and enrich the game’s lore.”

Indeed, it’s like Minecraft. In Minecraft, if you check the infinite option, terrains and objects will continuously generate.Intrepid Studios defines Ashes of Creation as a non-faction-based open-world MMORPG, which features dynamism.

This implies that you can create and destroy things. You can build a home and grow vegetables. But, if you build your base in the wilderness, you’ll have to defend it against mobs.

If you played games like Rust or Ark: Survival Evolved, Ashes of Creation may be a bit familiar because both games are open-world virtual realities. The major goal of the player in such games is “to survive.” Ashes of Creations is somewhat similar to these two. However, they don’t have RPG elements.

In the trailers, the game is played from a 3rd person perspective. You can fly, move around on foot, or ride on your pet.

However, you won’t be able to do everything that you want whenever you want. In the game, seasons will change, and natural disasters will occur. If your base isn’t fortified enough, a blizzard or hurricane can destroy it.

You can also say that Ashes of Creations is like a sandbox game. Like Minecraft, the game allows you to gather resources and create structures. Do keep in mind that your every action can affect your surroundings and may have narrative consequences to your quests.

Verra will change based on your statistics and actions. Intrepid Studios wanted to create a game that reacts and evolves to the player. When you first log in, you’ll encounter wilderness. You won’t see any sign of civilization. As you travel and level up, towns will spawn.

As you grow stronger through crafting, fighting, processing, and gathering, your character will attract civilizations. If your level is high, large settlements and cities will spawn near you. Cities offer more tasks, events, and quests than villages and towns. The so-called node circles enable players to customize the type of settlements and NPCs that will spawn. This means you can generate NPCs and creatures that are suitable for your class and build.

For example, if you are more on farming than adventuring, NPCs that can help your character grow will offer quests related to your endeavors. In addition, you can also control democratic values and population growth. And each node circle is unique when it comes to resources, politics, ecology, culture, and climate.

Character Creation

Ashes of Creations may sound like a complex game, but its combat and class system are simple. Before you get transported to Veer, you’ve to choose a class.

All in all, there are 8 races. Each race is broken down into 4 species. Each species has two subtypes.

Here are the different species in the game:

  • Aela humans
  • Pyrian elves
  • Kaivek orcs
  • Dunzenkell dwarves

After selecting your specie and customizing your character, you must choose a class. There are 8 classes in total:

  1. Bard
  2. Ranger
  3. Summoner
  4. Rogue
  5. Cleric
  6. Fighter
  7. Tank
  8. Mage

Each class has unique abilities, and each race has special characteristics. If you reach a certain level, you will have to train to attain a secondary class. The secondary class provides additional customisable options for your character’s abilities, skills, and powers.

The Combat System

Ashes of Creation is both an open-world and a role-playing game. So, it won’t be complete without PvPs, PvE, and Sieges.

Sieges

In Siege mode, you participate in skirmishes and large-scale battles. Your goal is to secure and defend a base, settlement or castle.

Player versus Environment (PvE)

Verra spawns diverse beasts, monsters, and demons. Beta testers consider the latter as the strongest mob in the game. Each opponent has unique algorithms, and its level of difficulty depends upon your character and circle nodes.

Player versus Player (PvP)

The PvP game mode allows you to join guild wars, battle with other players, and hijack trade caravans.

At its core, Ashes of Creations is an RPG game. It features a crafting system, character customization option, and unique loot, skins and weapons. Dungeons and raids will also be available.

The open-world format is a great tandem with its role-playing elements.

Have you seen the anime “Sword Art Online?” Well, Ashes of Creation and SAO have very similar concepts. You can cook, build, fight, create rapport, and adventure in this game.

Summary

So far, here are the latest Ashes of Creation release date, news, trailer, and rumors. Intrepid Studios revealed that Ashes of Creation may be released in 2020. There is no official release date yet, and the schedule is subject to change.

Ashes Of Creation Trailer

Ashes of Creations will be unlike mainstream MMORPGs. Pay-to-win is disabled, and it’s free-to-play. This means your victory depends on your level, build, and skills. With the available information today, Player Kill might be enabled in the game.

The World of Warcraft and Elder Scrolls Online games are phenomenal and both feature amazing graphics and combat systems. However, you can’t play them for free. The first 20 levels are playable as a trial version, but what goes beyond that requires money. As FPS and MOBA games are taking the world by storm, it seems that most MMORPGs are losing their touch.

Months after their release, servers would shut down and service would be discontinued. This is devastating to players. After they’ve spent time and money on their character, they would just lose it in a flash.

Today, most decent MMORPGs are gone. That’s why RPG enthusiasts backed Intrepid Studios to push the production of Ashes of Creations.

Everything is nearly done, and the game is in its final stages of development. Beta-2 has been released. With it, players can’t wait to get their hands on Ashes of Creation. You can pre-order the game now or apply as a beta tester.
