Top 10 PlayStation 4 Games Of 2020

2020 is set to provide us with the best ps4 games we've seen yet. These are the top 10 PlayStation 4 games of 2020 you definitely need to play. Check them out...

It was already confirmed that the next-generation PlayStation console, the PlayStation 5, will be releasing later in 2020. There’s already been a look into one of the PlayStation 5’s exclusives, Godfall, and everyone who is excited for the next-generation system is already looking forward to its release. Unfortunately, we don’t know too much about the price of the PlayStation 5 other than the rumor that it might be a little pricier than the PlayStation 4. However, just because the PlayStation 5 is around the corner doesn’t mean there isn’t going to be a lot of fun games coming out for the PlayStation 4 in 2020. Some people may be saving for the newest PlayStation console while others will be spending their money on one of these top 10 PlayStation 4 games of 2020.

10. Elden Ring

Elden Ring

What happens if you mix the fantasy knowledge of George R. R. Martin and frustratingly fun gameplay from Dark Soul’s creator Hidetaka Miyazaki? You will get a fantasy role-playing game full of action that promises to have players pulling out their hair from sheer fun and frustration. The best part is Bandai is behind the project as a publisher and you know they’re going to bring out the best in George R. R. Martin, who is best known for his fantasy worldbuilding and storytelling. Elden Ring will be an open world where the player, who can create their own custom character for roleplaying reasons, can run around tackling dungeons. Elden Ring is speculated to be released sometime in 2020.

9. Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima

The PlayStation console has always been full of action-adventure games. Ghost of Tsushima looks to add to Sony’s collection of action-adventure games with an open world title that involves samurai. In Ghost of Tsushima, the player will follow a samurai in a third-person view as they travel the open world taking down enemies with their katana. The player can either take down enemies through direct confrontation or sneak up for fatal katana kills. We wouldn’t expect any less from the studio behind Infamous First Light. Ghost of Tsushima has a release date of July 17th, 2020.

8. Outriders

Outriders

The creators of Bulletstorm look to have a game similar to Destiny in the role-playing game sense. That’s not surprising seeing as the publisher behind the game is Square Enix, a publisher known for its Final Fantasy series. The gameplay for Bulletstorm looks to be explosive as it follows the player in third-person view of their customized character as they loot-and-scoot their way through the game. Outriders also looks to have a class-based system that has different classes similar to Destiny. Outriders will also have a skill tree with these different classes where players can upgrade their skills. Players can play by themselves with two other players in a cooperative mode that can feature three total players. We are excited to see how Outriders could possibly rival Destiny. While Outriders doesn’t have a hard release date, it is speculated to release sometime in late 2020.

7. Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is finally coming out in 2020 across multiple platforms, but we’re especially excited to see how the studio that brought us the Witcher 3 can top themselves in this open world game set in the future. Of course, it helps to have Keannu Reeves market the project. The studio has a good resume of games behind it which is only helping build hype for Cyberpunk 2077 and we’re looking forward to its release on the PlayStation 4 in September 2020.

6. Marvel’s Avengers

Marvel’s Avengers

Square Enix is going to bring us Outriders for the PlayStation 4, but it also has its hands full with the Marvel Universe by bringing us an action role-playing game featuring our favorite superheroes: The Avengers. However, this version of the Avengers are not connected with Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, so there’s going to be a different story featuring the same characters we know and love separate from the story we’ve been told through the cinema screens this past decade. It’s an exciting prospect to see a brand-new story with the same characters and we’ll be able to see it when Marvel’s Avengers releases on September 4th.

5. Dying Light 2

Dying Light 2

This first-person zombie slaying series is getting another installment and we’re all jumping for joy. That’s because Dying Light 2 will continue its successful parkour game where you need to rely on quick thinking and your character’s ability to parkour to survive a zombie apocalypse on top of other humans. Dying Light 2 is rumored to be released sometime in 2020.

4. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga

The slapstick comedy of the Lego series is finally getting the complete Star Wars movie franchise to play with. You’ll finally be able to play every blocky character from Rey to Darth Vader. Relive all the best Star Wars moments from all nine films in the way that only the Lego Star Wars series can present. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will release in October 2020.

3. The Last of Us 2

The Last of Us 2

The Last of Us 2 will continue the story of Ellie and Joel as the player tries to piece together the events since the first game came out earlier in the decade. Naughty Dog has had significant delays since the announcement of The Last of Us 2, and recently came out with another delay due to the recent pandemic, but it looks like the game will finally release in 2020.

2. Windbound

Windbound

It’s nice to see something different for a change. Instead of these established titles, it’s nice to see a game studio try something different. Windbound looks to be the ocean-exploring version of No Man’s Sky. Instead of every planet you visit being different, it will be islands. Every island you visit will be mysterious. It’s an exciting title looking to release sometime in 2020.

1. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

We’re getting another entry into the Assassin’s Creed series and it’s going to be a little different than the games we’ve seen before. You’ll be playing as a Viking Assassin with the usual Assassin’s Creed gameplay elements, but there looks to be more role playing elements added on to the game. We’d say it would be nice to make it out of Europe for a change, but it looks to be set in 9th century England. However, there’s no denying it will be fun to hack, slash, and stab our way through a viking setting. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is rumored to release late in 2020.
